I saw these lucky stars a few years ago when I was still at school and recently I had some time on my hands whilst re-watching all the seasons of "Friends", so I decided to give these a go as they're pretty simple. Some of these look a little rough around the edges but once you do a couple, they neaten up!

So let's get started on with how you make them!
What you'll need:

- sheet of paper - a ruler
- board to cut on (I just used a thick piece of cardboard) - utility knife (you could just use scissors but I find this easier/quicker) - a pencil
How to make it: Step 1
With your pencil mark the outline for a strip approximately 1cmx27cm in length and cut along this line so you end up with one long thin strip of paper.

Step 2
Tie a knot at one end of the paper and gently tighten then flatten to obtain a pentagon shaped knot. Tuck the smaller end into the knot you have just tied.

Step 3
Fold the longer strip over and around the pentagon shape you have created making sure to crease it gently at each fold, until you're left with a small section at the end which you can tuck in.

Step 5
Squish in the the middle part of each of the edges to make a 5-pointed star and you're done!

Hope you found these steps easy to follow and ended up with some pretty stars!
P.S. I didn't really know what to do with mine once they were done so I ended up putting them alongside a little note to my boyfriend which read "I love you to the stars and back!".
